Dancehall/ Reggae artist D-Medz, born Dwayne Adams, is shooting on an upward trajectory as one of Dancehalls newest shining stars. Surrounded by poverty in Clarendon Jamaica, D-Medz used music as his escape and his hard knock experienced as his muse for his potent and sometimes humorous lyrics. A skilled athlete, footballer and successful academic, D-Medz had the requisite skills to land him a successful career but music remained his first love. He became a DJ after starting to pen his own songs at 19 and judging from his repertoire of songs like 'She only love cause a Christmas', 'Maypen mi come from', 'full up', 'life sweet' and the hot new street anthem 'Road Tonight', D-Medz has no doubt honed his skills and is not only on his way to being one of Dancehalls hottest stars but also one of its most prolific song writers.
'Road Tonight' and 'Life Sweet' are the hottest new singles to be released on the EPP Jam label as part of D-Medz promotional EP, and is already experiencing rotation success on stations such as Irie Fm and Hits 92 Fm. Digital release will follow shortly on iTunes.
As his aptly titled EP states, "Road Tonight...I've got something to prove, so I got to do what I have to do", D-Medz is practicing what he preaches and is busy promoting the soon to be (officially) released EP and recognizes that this groundwork is an integral step towards his ultimate goal of Dancehall domination locally and chart topping success internationally.
Already sharing the stage with some of Jamaica's hottest DJ's and giving acclaimed performances on shows such All Island School Tour, Island Explosion, Manchester fiesta, Ninja Man benefit Concert and a mini tour of Cayman Islands to name a few, D-Medz Ian's his hot new EP 'Road Tonight' is no doubt poised to not only set the pace in dancehall, but to the set the road on 'pon' fire.
