Jamaican dancehall star Vybz Kartel and his five co defendants pleaded not guilty in the Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams murder trial in the Home Circuit Court earlier today.

The not-guilty plea was entered this morning. The case has been suspended until tomorrow when jury selection is expected to be fully done. Nine out of 12 jurors were selected November 18th.

Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, is charged together with fellow Gaza artiste Shawn Campbell, more popularly known as Shawn Storm, fashion designer Calvin Haye, André St John, Shane Williams and Kahira Jones.

It is said that ‘Lizard’ Williams was killed at Kartel’s home in Havendale, St Andrew, on August 16, 2011. It is further said that Williams was murdered after he and another man were taken to the World Boss’s house to explain about a lost gun.
