Kartel Trial: Cop Secured Bloodstains at Havendale house.

Detective constable Avrel Thomas in the murder trial of entertainer Vybz Kartel testified Thursday morning that he went to a house on Swallowfield Avenue in August 2011 and saw what appeared to be bloodstains in a section of the house.

The officer told the supreme court that he secured evidence from the area and placed crime scene markers around the apparent blood stains.

Detective Thomas said that he kept the swabs in his possession and took them to the forensic lab to be analysed.

The artiste, whose real name is Adidja Azim Palmer, is charged with the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams that is believed to have been committed at Kartel’s Havendale house.

Yesterday the girlfriend of Clive “Lizard” Williams took the stand to testify in the court case, she will continue her testimony today. The girlfriend was among two women who testified yesterday as the hearing of arguments began into the August 16, 2011 killing of Williams.
