Snoop reincarnated… Again!
Snoop Dogg is currently working on a new album with the American funk artiste Dâm-Funk. The project will be released by the name ‘7 Days Of Funk’. Snoop has decided he will go by the name of Snoopzilla from now on.

Snoopzilla. Snoop turned Rastafarian last year and he even spend some time in Jamaica while working on his Reggae skills. He recorded the album ‘Reincarnated‘ featuring ‘La La La’ amongst other songs.

Snoopzilla refers to legendary funk bass player Bootsy Collins who dubbed himself Bootzilla. Snoop Dogg said he can’t wait to collaborate with Dâm-Funk: “We’re the babies of the Mothership. “I’ve had funk influences in my music my whole career. Dâm-Funk is cold. He’s keeping the funk alive and I knew I had to get down with him.

Rastafari Controversy
Earlier this year Snoop Dogg was accused by Bunny Wailer, former drummer for The Wailers, of faking his Snoop Lion persona to sell records.

Bunny Wailer claimed that the Snoop Lion album ‘Reincarnated‘ and a documentary of the same name are “fraudulent” and warned for legal action against the rapper. Wailer claimed that Snoop had engaged in “outright fraudulent use of Rastafari Community’s personalities and symbolism” and that he had also failed to meet “contractual, moral and verbal commitments”.

Additionally, the Ethio-Africa Diaspora Union Millennium Council (aka Rastafari Millennium Council) sent a seven-page list of demands to Snoop. The document told the rapper that; “smoking weed and loving Bob Marley and reggae music is not what defines the Rastafari Indigenous Culture!

Snoop recently released “Red Light” featuring Eddy Murphy:
