This year’s edition of Reggae Sting will be the beginning of a new era for the yearly Boxing Day concert.

The organizers of Sting 30, Supreme Promotions and Downsound Records are planning to take the event into a new and thrilling way.

Over the years, sting has gained a name as being one of the most thrilling dancehall and reggae events, and now it will be featured on the international stage via pay per view TV.

This year, we will be celebrating 30 years of Sting. The event has definitely proven itself as being one of the most consistent top-quality live events in Jamaica, and it is certainly the longest-running one. Therefore, we are doing everything to lift the standards of the entire show as we move forward into a new and exciting era,” states Isaiah Laing, CEO of Supreme Promotions.

Reggae Sting 2013 will stay true to its name as being “the Greatest One Night Dancehall/Reggae Show On Earth,” but some aspects of the show will be enhanced to make the event more commercially successful.

Lady Saw
Sting is and will always be the Greatest Dancehall/Reggae Show on earth and we are going to make it even greater. We are putting everything in place to make sure that the event grows in the right direction. we are making Sting into a global brand, that’s why we are concentrating so much on marketing the show on the international scene,” said Downsound CEO Joe Bogdanovich.

Reggae Sting 30 will be held under the theme ‘Bring The Sting Jamaica Party 2013’, and will be televised pay per view in several countries, including North America, Japan, and England. Which is great news for dancehall and reggae fans world-wide, meaning they won`t have to wait for the DVD or YouTube clips to get available.

Over the past 29 years Reggae Sting has showcased some of the most legendary and best reggae/dancehall and international acts, and Reggae Sting 30 will continue that tradition.

The artiste line-up for Reggae Sting 30 will star some of the most legendary performers that have visited the Sting stage over the years such as Super Cat, Ninja Man, Lady Saw, Mavado, Sizzla, Charley Chaplin, Brigadier Jerry, Peter Metro, and others.

Hip-hop star 2 Chainz will be the big international act for Sting 30.
