The heritage of XXXTentacion is ready to drop more of his postmortem music. His last single, “Royalty,” features dancehall artists Vybz Kartel, Stefflon Don and Ky-Mani Marley is out now, along with a hot music video.
“Royalty” can be interpreted as a tribute to the killed rapper’s Jamaican background. XXXTentacion laces a dancehall-afrobeat-inspired instrumental with a verse that begins with him talking in patois. This theme is furthered by Stefflon Don, Vybz Kartel, and Ky-Mani Marley, who all flaunt their ancestral heritage with their features. The video for “Royalty” was shot in Kingston, Jamaica. Director Damian Fyffe showcases the various scenery’s of the city in hopes to encircle the vibes of Jamaica.
