“It has been a while since the last time I performed in Jamaica. The last two shows I did locally were the Bob Marley Birthday Celebration at Emancipation Park, that was in February, and in April I did the St Ann Kite Fest. These days, I spend a lot of time on the road performing in places like Europe, Africa, the US, and other parts of the world. I just completed a tour of the US, I performed in 30 states or more. before that, I toured Europe twice this year. I plan to do a couple of shows at home before the end of the year, I have to do some performances for my fans at home, that is a must,” he states.
Capleton says that he is looking forward to his forthcoming performance on Boom GT Taylor Christmas Reggae Extravaganza stage show.“You know its always a good vibe performing for the people at home, they always show me a lot of love and positive energy. So I am looking forward to performing for the people in St Elizabeth on Christmas night, it’s gonna be another explosive performance from the King of Fire. It has been a very long time I haven’t been to that side of the island, so I am going there to deliver an extra special performance for my people in St Elizabeth,” said Capleton.
The artiste also emphasized the importance of supporting local events like Boom GT Taylor Christmas Reggae Extravaganza.
“This show is one of the few calendar events that the people can still look forward to, because over, the years, a lot of the shows that were around have disappeared from the calendar. So we have to support Boom GT Taylor Christmas Reggae Extravaganza and other shows like it. I just want to emphasise that to the people, because we all have a role to play to ensure that the stage shows don’t fade away. So I am appealing to the fans to come out on Christmas night and support the show, because it’s going to be a great show,” Capleton said.
