Little mix DJ Kaas did back in 2001. A little riddim mix that featured one of the biggest, if not the biggest, dancehall songs of 2000-2010. Sean Paul’s “Gimme The Light” was the Jamaican artist’s first hit single, peaking at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and also became a top 20 hit in the Netherlands, UK and Canada. 

DJ Kaas did the mix in 2001 and loved the vibes, at the time it was only a promo release and no one, nor DJ Kaas, could have imaged the impact this riddim compilation would have on global charts and the revival of dancehall music in general and mainstream charts after the 90ies hits by Shaggy and Shabba Ranks.

This riddim mix also features the songs by Elephant Man, Mad Cobra, Mr Vegas, Mr Easy, Beenie Man and Sizzla.
